Bring Me The Horizon That's The Spirit Review

Today is the day, Bring Me The Horizon release day for That's The Spirit. They already gave us a chance to listen to 5 amazing track from this album and for us who already pre-order the album, today is a pretty good day!

I still remember the first time I listened to BMTH. I was in high school, it was 10 years ago (ugh, I feel old). I was in a metal band and my friend told me your hair looks like the lead singer from Bring Me The Horizon. I was like, really?? And then he asked me to listen to Pray For Plagues and he bet I would love it. Well, he's right! I love it and I become a huge fan since that day. I grew up listened to their songs and everytime they released a new album, I always thought that they always make their songs sounds even better and better. I'm so proud of their achievement and I'm also glad I had a chance to saw their concert in Jakarta back on 2011. I wish one day I could meet them in person because they all amazing! Anyway, on 2011 I also launched my blog for BMTH: indoheartbmth and thank you Oliver Sykes for following me (his blog turned to be a drop dead blog right now) and he reblogged my song cover of The Masterplan - Oasis  and I'm still stoked everytime I remember that day.

Now they released their new album, I'm so amaze of what they've done. Oliver Sykes could make his dark times to a wonderful masterpiece, Jordan Fish make the band sounds interesting, Lee Malia still gave me a good vibe with his guitar, Matt Kean bass gave me chills on every songs, and Matt Nicholls whoa he's totally nailed it. So here's my review for Bring Me The Horizon new album, That's The Spirit:

1. Doomed
Is it a right track? That's my first thought. It doesn't sound like BMTH at all but I love it. I mean I never expect them to write a song like this and it turns out that it's really good. Oliver Sykes voice is wonderful, where did he hide his beautiful voice in the past few years? I already have a goosebump on the first track. It's like I ate apple everyday and finally I eat blueberry, do you know what I mean? Like I listen to great stuff and then I listen they're surprise me with the best stuff.

2. Happy Song
This song makes me happy, no wonder because it's a Happy Song. Can't help myself not to join to shout S.P.I.R.I.T SPIRIT! LET'S HEAR IT!

3. Throne
Standing applause for this song. Could I be any more agree with the lyrics? This song is totally lift up my spirit. Thanks to BMTH for writing amazing song like this. Love the sounds of every instruments that they've played because if you listen carefully, you could hear all of it and it sounds great. Jordan Fish and Matt Nicholls make it more interesting. Try to hear every instrument, you could also heard Matt Kean and Lee Malia killed it. Fyi, my mom also love this song.

4. True Friends
Dear BMTH, are you read my mind? This is what I felt and it was messing with my head in the past few months and they made this song, a perfect song and a coincidence. I feel like I wanna give this song for my frenemy.

5. Follow you
When I heard the intro, I was trying to guess what would they do to this song? As Oliver start to sing, they amaze me more. Once again, I never expect them to write a song like this and yes, I still love it. I could chillin' somewhere while listen to this song.

6. What you need
When they hit the chorus, I could imagine being in the crowd at their concert, singing out loud together with the crowd and I could imagine the situation. This song makes me want to sing along.

7. Avalanche
The sounds of Lee's guitar is the winner in this song. This is some kind of song that makes you want to sing along. It's gonna be my jam! Probably will sing it on the bathroom, ssshh let's keep it a secret.

8. Run
My heart can't take it, this song is so beautiful. It's my favorite! The chorus is stuck in my head from the very first time I heard this song. The lyrics and the melody is suit perfectly and pretty dramatic. I replied this song a thousand times for a whole day.

9. Drown
I still remember the first time they released this song, I was like whoa.. they start to change their sound in a very good way. They are getting better and better and better! I wish they also add the acoustic version that they played on BBC radio to the album because that's extremely beautiful.

10. Blasphemy
Boom! This song is really catchy for my ears, another favorite song? I guess I could never pick my favorite song because I love all of it. But seriously, I bet everyone will love this song.

11. Oh no
Oh no, I feel like dancing for this song! And I'm not even a good dancer but I don't care, this song makes me want to move. Wait a minute, is that a sound of saxophone? Well done BMTH well done.

That's my thought, congratulations for Bring Me The Horizon. I thought you create a masterpiece with Sempiternal and now That's The Spirit won my heart again. Let me know your thoughts and your favorite song from That's The Spirit. And if you haven't but their CD, go buy it. It's a must have album on 2015, trust me.
