How To Survived We The Fest 2016: Day 2

I got tons of preparation for We The Fest, Day 2. As we already messed up our first day a little bit, this time my friends and I brought our own raincoat. We made a plan to go there at 2 PM so we could get through to the front row for The 1975. God knows how long until The 1975 set will be start it (They start to play at 9.35 PM).

So, our plan goes like:
1. Get there at 2 PM and buy food for dinner because we're going nowhere until The 1975 show (yes, we put it in our bag.. I order pizza anyway).
2. Save a bottle of water, we should stay hydrate to survive
3. Prepare our raincoat
4. Get Tolak Angin
5. Save energy, don't pass out before The 1975

That's our survival kit. As we approached the main stage area, the gate is about to open and as soon as we could get in, I ran. We've got the second row, not too satisfy but let's hope people in front of us wouldn't stay until The 1975 (Yes, God heard my prayer). Barasuara hit the stage and they are really great, more than I expected because this is my first time to see their live performance. Second band is Naif, yes I love them since I was in middle school so I sang along during their show. The best part is, they asked the audience about which song that they should play next. I was screaming Air dan Api and glad David heard it and played my favorite song. After a few songs, things that we hate the most a.k.a rain is started to pour. We all start to wear our raincoat!

Next band is Sheila On 7, bring back our childhood memories! We all sang along even though the rain started to pour pretty hard. After Sheila On 7, I decided to save my energy for The 1975 because there are 2 bands in a row before their show. And we started to worry that we're not going to survive until The 1975 because even though we wore our raincoat, our hair started to be really wet and our hands is getting colder. The riddiculous thing is we drank Tolak Angin in the middle of the crowd. Who cares what people think, we are survivor!

This time is for Breakbot. It's hard not to dance along their show, they set their stage perfectly. I started to look at the clock because I started to feel tired but no.. this can't be happening! After their set, we decide to eat. And as I said before, God listen to my prayer. A girl in front of me get out from the crowd and we exchange our place, yes! now the front row is mine and I hug the barricade as I ate my pizza. The Temper Trap started to play their songs and they are amazing. I almost forgot that I'm tired.

Finally, the day and the time that I've been waiting for years.. THE 1975! They opened their set with Love Me and guess what? I wave my hand to Matt Healy and he saw me and wave his hand as well to me while gave his gorgeous smile. If I were an ice cream, I would definitely melt by now. I prepare my makeup and all those important thing to make me looks good and when Matty saw me, my eyeliner was smudge, lipstick is gone, hair is wet, and I wore a raincoat. 100% sure that's not my best look but whatever.

Yes, I was that close to Matty and I sang along like crazy. It was one of my favorite concert that I ever saw. It's not enough only saw them in an hour, I want more.. I need to see their concert again ASAP. I feel really emo right now like drowning on my Post Concert Depression (I should've not write about this, sorry not sorry). They are really great, like REALLY great.

After The 1975, it's time for Mark Ronson. But I gave up my front row, I move to the back and dance on the back. I nailed my main goal to see The 1975 that close anyway. And Mark Ronson also gave a great performance! After all, We The Fest 2016 was super amazing. We all beat the rain and we woke up really early on Monday to work like a zombie. Glad we booked a hotel near the venue and FYI, I wore a hotel slipper to the office because my shoes are wet and full of mud after the show.

Before I go, I recorded The 1975 performance at WTF 2016. Unfortunately I can't record Love Me and Ugh because it was raining so hard and I couldn't get my phone out of my bag. But here's one of my favorite performance from them: If I Believe You. Check it out!

We The Fest 2016: Day 1

Summer Festival that we've been waiting for is here! To be honest I saved my energy on day 1 because my only goal for this festival is to see The 1975 on the second day. Anyway, it was a lot of fun. We saw Rich Chigga and he's kinda dope! It was raining so hard on the evening and we missed a lot of show.

While we are waiting for Macklemore, we watched CL and I didn't expect to enjoy it because I rarely listen to K-Pop but her show was amazing. And after all, the greatest performance of the day goes to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. I have a goosebump during his performance, it was great and his stage act was unique. He's also really attractive with the fans and told about how he love Jakarta. The funniest thing is he throw us some donuts. If somebody successfully catch it, he will stay in Jakarta. Well, nobody could catch it.. The donuts land successfully to the ground, I guess.
