Jakarta Fashion Week 2016: Day 1 Summary

It's time for Jakarta Fashion Week again! Always exciting if it comes to Fashion Week. So many great runway on the first day and as always I met a lot of wonderful people right there. Just like the previous year, Jakarta Fashion Week 2016 held at Senayan City, Jakarta. There are 2 venues, Fashion Tent and Fashion Atrium. On day 1, I spent a whole day at Fashion Tent and here's what happened on Day 1.

Black Outter // Body & Soul
Ribbed Halterneck // Topshop
Short Pants // Riotous
Platform Boots // H&M
Classic Bag // Saint Laurent

Decided to wear all black and turns out like a witch, well hey it's October anyway. Fashion Week is the best time to wear my favorite Platform Boots, because even though my platform boots heels is 13 inch, it's really comfortable. I could stand for a whole day and running back and forth with it. Plus, I get a little bit taller of course, so yay!

Sweet treats from The Harvest Cake and Magnum.

Great to see Tex Saverio again! Today he marks the official release of TXID. It's a secondary line by Saverio & Liu Inc. As you might know, the collection are masculine and dark, still with the laser cut materials and futuristic prints plus a lot of leather goods. To be honest, I want all of TXID collection for my birthday!

Sean & Sheila Collection

Lotuz Collection

Jakarta Fashion Week 2016 Day 1 is a wrap! That's the summary of my great weekend at fashion week. Really need to catch up with the following days but I can't get a day off from work, so let's see if I could make it to another day of JFW16.

Kemilau Sriwijaya: Back To Nature with Indonesian Culture

From year to year I wouldn't miss a chance to attend Indonesia Fashion Week because it's the biggest fashion event in Indonesia. IFW 2015 for the 3rd time held at Jakarta Convention Center and I'm glad I could be part of it as a blogger. On Day 3, I had a chance to see the amazing Fashion Shows by Hj. Eliza Alex Noerdin, Head of Dekranasda Sumatera Selatan with Defrico Audy. There are a lot of great fashion show and exhibition and this one is grab my attention because they showed us Indonesian Culture with a modern vibe and it turns out to be so many beautiful dress. Songket is one of Sumatera Selatan traditional clothes and you could see how beautiful it is on Kemilau Sriwijaya Fashion Show. I captured some of the great moment from the fashion show, hope you all enjoy it.

It's obvious that they tried to show Indonesian Culture in a modern way with Kemilau Sriwijaya as a theme. And this is amazing how they turned songket to be a dress or even a blazer while actually the songket itself is already beautiful. You could also see that they're following 2015 trends which is Back To Nature but also combining with black and gold, to be honest that's my favorite. Also, white and silver which make the collection even more glamorous.

Alexander Wang For H&M: List Of The Must Have Items

<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/13040575/?claim=8mr7a54uynt">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>

Alexander Wang for H&M is definitely one of the coolest collaboration for this fall. They are unveil the collection and you could see modern twist as Alexander's signature. The good thing is, the collection launches on November 6 and that's my birthday! Because I love black so much, I'm easily fall in love with some of his collection. Here's a list of the must have items from this collection.

1. Heels. This is extremely fabulous. Look at the zipper, it seems like you could pull it up or just let it down so you could see a different color inside the boots. Love it!
2. Grey Sweater. Perfect for casual style, you could combine in with a skirt or a short. I could feel it that this would be a best seller on the store, soon.

3. Mesh Jumper. Unique design, I would definitely wear it wear leggings or if it's long enough for me I would just wear it without leggings.
4. Crop Top. I'm always into crop top. Simple and perfect for the weather in my city. Love the print "This Is An Alexander Wang Cropped Top" yes, let's everyone know!
5. Dress. Black dress never die. It would be rad to combine it with the heels on the first picture.
6. Biker Jacket. I love this jacket even though I know it's hard to use those kind of jacket if you live in Jakarta (yeah, super hot weather). But this jacket is awesome, give it a try maybe there would be a day when you feel cold and you could stay in your coolest style with this Biker Jacket.
7. Trousers. Love the pattern. I think it's one of the must have item for the collection because it's unique.

There's more awesome collection but that's the best 7 items from Alexander Wang for H&M collection, can't wait to see it in the nearest store. If you're not into black, don't worry..there's some color in white for this collection. So..Which one is your favorite?

Outfit Of The Trunk Show Day

Topshop dress, Yves Saint Laurent bag, New Look shoes, Forever 21 Leather Jacket

Still from Fashion Lab opening party. Me..wearing a girly dress is rarely happen but I wore it though for this event. Because the dress code is edgy & contemporary, I added a leather jacket plus 13cm heels with a lot of studded around it, nailed it or not?. But anyway I got featured on weare.zocko.com (I took the first picture from their website). Apart from the trunk show, there's an Italian Theme on Pacific Place at the moment and I love that spot so I took a moment to take a photo for a minute. It's like a little cute cafe in Italy.

Found this photo from Galeries Lafayette's Twitter, spotted myself at the queue of Fashion Lab opening party. That was a long line and people seems really exciting about this event, cause I'm psyched for this trunk show. One thing that I haven't post from this event is a SELFIE. Well, nowadays it seems like it's a must thing to do in any event, so here's a selfie of Tex Saverio and I.

My Favorite Looks From Fashion Lab Opening Party

Attending Fashion Lab "Indonesian Young Designers Put Forward" Opening Party at Galeries Lafayette, Jakarta. Galeries Lafayette collaborating with Indonesian Fashion Forward to intruduce the must seen designers of the moment. It was amazing to see a lot of lovely collection by so many Indonesian designer such as Tex Saverio, Toton, Patrick Owen, Yosafat Dwi Kurniawan, Major Minor, Fbudi, Gloria Agatha, Monstore, and Monday to Sunday. The trunk show is major! And great to see it in the front row so I could get a better look to those beautiful clothes. I tried to make a list of which one is my favorite, it's hard because all of it are beautiful but here's my favorite looks from Fashion Lab Opening Party.

Collection by one of my favorite designer Tex Saverio. Extremely wonderful as always. So elegant and beautiful. When I saw his collection, all I could think is 'I should have that clothes in my closet or something would really go wrong' cause these collection is to die for. These are definitely my favorite looks from this event. But apart from these I still have a lot of favorite looks from other designers, check them out!

Love this matching top and skirt from Major Minor. Most of their collection using black and white combination, perfect color combination for any occasion.

Monstore collection are rad. Kind of clothes that I would wear and it's gonna be an awesome street style.

Amazing black dress by Fbudi. I'm easy to fall in love with black dress and this one is simple but beautiful at the same time. It's major!

I want that Penguins skirt by Gloria Agatha. Her collection involve many penguins and that's so cute. This is one of my favorite from her collection.

This is very unique, design by Patrick Owen. when I saw his design, all I could think is Bill Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel. That looks is perfect for Bill Kaulitz, unique style and definitely would be great for his next tour. Wish I could styles him with those outfit.

That's some of my favorite! By the way,  Before I end this post, after many years I adore this amazing designer, I finally had a chance to meet Tex Saverio in person. Such a talented and super humble guy. This is definitely made my day.
